Field Day, Resin, Acrylic, Keracaulk, Kiln-Casted Glass on Wood, 2021. This piece was created in memory of my military service. In the military, we had a day called "Field Day," where we would have to clean the dorm rooms. The stereotype of cleaning tile with a toothbrush is what inspired this piece. I created the camoflauge shapes using caulk, like the plumbing tool. I tinted the resin to create the colors with acrylic paint. This was a fun piece to make and would make a wonderful addition to an interested collector.
